“Dark Leadership – The Dark Side of Power” On June 8, 2021 at 20:00, an online discussion with Prof. Dr. Michael Müller-Vorbrüggen, among others, will take place. He is a professor of human resources management, supervisor, coach and theologian. We deal with different forms of leadership – including the dark side. The university chaplains of the Diocese of Aachen are looking forward to seeing you. The event is part of the nationwide series of events “We have to talk!”.
Dark Leadership – Neither life nor leaders are black or white. What is leadership and what forms are there? What is my handling of it?
Conflicts in and with the Catholic Church also mean a confrontation with leadership and its decisions. Management decisions and the way to get there are questioned and contradicted. An examination of leadership in general helps to understand and react to it.
The initiative “We have to talk!” invites you to a digital series of events in the summer semester 2021. Numerous German university congregations deal with church-political topics in different formats. The series is a reaction to the conflict over the position paper “We want to remain credible”, written by the full-time employees of KHG Cologne. In the position paper, they had, among other things, spoken out against “an inviolability of official church sovereignty of interpretation”, “a narrowing of church sexual morality”, “a religious charge of power” and “a lack of perception of social responsibility”. However, the publication was prohibited by the Archdiocese of Cologne. The conflict escalated and has not yet been resolved. The series of events sees itself as a place of open exchange on these and other topics. All students and interested parties are invited.
The event will take place via Zoom. The registration deadline is 07.08.21. You will then receive the access data by e-mail.
